A bold, abstract color print in two yellows — a saturated golden yellow and a brighter lemon yellow — with dark gray-black drawn lines overlaid. Two rectangular fields of yellow, one tilted against the other, occupy the center of the composition. Against these yellow grounds, an animated line drawing describes a reclining or rolling figure — organic, curving, the dark marks creating form against the yellow field.
The two yellows are applied as flat printed fields — the registration slightly off between them, creating a slight overlapping shadow at their edges that reveals the print process. The dark drawn lines on top suggest these were added after the color printing, possibly as hand-drawing over a printed ground.
The figure within the yellow is the most ambiguous in any work — it could be read as a reclining human body, as a landscape form, as a purely abstract curvilinear design. The dark marks include something spiral-like at upper left, angular architectural forms at upper center-right, and curving organic lines throughout. No single reading prevails.
At lower right, pencil registration marks or ruler marks — the technical infrastructure of the printing process left visible. These marks, usually hidden, confirm the print medium and give the work an appealing transparency about its own making.
The two tilted rectangles as a compositional device — overlapping yellow fields — is the most Constructivist formal decision in the entire collection.
