A large red chalk figure drawing of a seated figure deeply folded forward — the head bent down toward the knee, the hands visible near the head, the back rising in a pronounced curve above the bowed head. This is one of the most folded postures in the red chalk series, the body drawing itself into a compact mass.
The back's curve from the hip to the crown is the composition's primary formal element: a long, pronounced arc that rises from the right, curves steeply over the bowed head, and descends to the arms and hands below. The sanguine marks follow this curve with confidence.
The hands at the lower center are the most described elements: both hands visible near the bowed head, the fingers indicated, the posture of someone holding their head or resting in a forward fold.
The feet at the lower composition extend beyond the folded body — the sitting bones grounded, the feet at rest. The characteristic toe description even in this extreme forward fold.
