A large blue pencil back-view figure drawing of exceptional formal significance — a seated figure seen from directly behind, the back broad and simple, and at the crown of the head a perfectly coiled bun rendered with Sidney's most characteristic mark: a tight spiral of concentric circles. This bun is the clearest appearance of Sidney's essential form — the spiral — in observed hair in the entire 1000-series.
The coiled bun is drawn with the same mark vocabulary as the Eye of Everything (706): rings within rings, each concentric loop placed with care. Where the Eye of Everything is an abstract meditation on the spiral form, this bun is the same form discovered naturally in a model's hair. Sidney's eye found his own language in the world.
The back below the spiral bun is described with beautiful economy: a single contour following the shoulder-to-hip sweep on each side, a brief arm visible at the right, the sitting mass at the lower composition. The interior is nearly empty — the back known through its edge.
At the lower right, the hand and fingers are the most specifically described element, resting on the surface. The feet at the very lower right corner are briefly indicated.
